Active Kids: The first step
We set up our original Active Kids campaign to inspire and help kids to
be more active and healthy – since it began, over 31,000 schools have
participated and received sports equipment and experiences.
Now we're extending the Active Kids programme and we want your help to do
it! We have lots of Active Ideas about how we can support
kids around the country in different ways – from health and fitness
to enterprise to school or group clubs. But we want to know what
you think.
Have your say on the next Active Kids schools project. Which ideas do you
think would work best for everybody in your school or group? Can
you suggest ways of building on our ideas, or perhaps you have a better
idea of your own?
Our Active Ideas
We’ve thought of five new ideas for Active Kids – take a look
at Active Ideas to find out more about them.
We'd like you to help us decide which of these ideas to develop for
schools or groups all over Britain.
- Which ideas would work best?
- How would you change the idea?
- Or perhaps you can suggest a completely new idea?
To make sure we end up with the best ideas, we'd like you to carry out a
consultation and ask everyone in your school or group what they think.
As well as asking the pupils in all classes, you should find out
what the teachers, group leaders, parents and Governors think too.
You might even want to involve a local business, charity, club or
MP. Get active, get talking now. Start with our Toolkits.
Taking part: Your project
This is a brilliant project for your school council, or you could form a
special action group to take part. It’s your chance to make a real difference
to your whole school or group, and to other schools or groups around
the country. It will be a great way for your school council to work
on a project and find out what your school or group really wants.
Our Toolkits will get you started.
Your entry
Submit your ideas online. We’ll read them all and make a shortlist
of the 15 best entries from six different regions. These schools
or groups will become our regional consultants. Representatives from
each school or group will be invited to attend a regional Active
Conference. Over the summer, we’ll
draft the Active Kids Manifesto which will lay out the future of
Active Kids based on your consultations. At the national conference,
student delegates from each region will discuss and vote on the Active
Kids Manifesto and set the future course for Active Kids.

Your prizes
Every entry will get expert feedback on their ideas and the best ones will
earn some fantastic prizes and get to be Active Kids Consultants. Want to
